Lentil Soup Ingredients
1 Cup Washed Yellow Lentils (200 ml)
1 Chopped Middle Size Potato
1 Chopped Middle Size Carrot
1 Chopped Middle Size Onion
4 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Half Tablespoon of Butter
6 Cups of Boiling Water (1200 ml)
1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
1 Teaspoon of Cumin
1 Teaspoon of Salt
For Butter Sauce
Half tablespoon of Butter
1 Teaspoon of Dry Mint
1 Teaspoon of Red Pepper Flakes
Preparation of Lentil Soup Recipe
Add 1 cup (200 ml) washed yellow lentils in a pot.
Add 1 chopped potato in the pot.
Add 1 chopped carrot in the pot.
Add 1 chopped onion.
Add 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
Add half tablespoon of butter.
Add six cups (1200 ml) of boiling water.
Boil all the ingredients for about 30 minutes.
Blend the boiled soup through the blender with the help of a hand blender.
Add 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
Add 1 teaspoon of cumin.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Mix the soup well.
Prepare the butter sauce to pour over the soup.
Melt half a tablespoon of butter in a small pan.
Add a teaspoon of dried mint and red pepper flakes to the melted butter.
Pour the butter sauce you have prepared over your soup with the help of a spoon.
Serve the yellow lentil soup hot.
