Pogaca Savoury Pastry Without Yeast Tips
Make sure that the ingredients you will use for making the pastry are at room temperature. Cheese buns that are prepared with ingredients at room temperature will be fluffier and more delicious.
It is also possible to prepare fluffy pastries by using baking powder or baking soda without using yeast. You can use whatever ingredient you have in your home at that time.
If you sift the flour you will use in making the pastry, your dough will be smoother and more viscous.
You can use different types of cheese while preparing your pastry. We used curd cheese in our recipe. You can use cheddar cheese, aged cheddar or different cheeses.
If you spread egg yolk and sprinkle some black cumin or sesame seeds on your pastries, your pastry will have a better appearance and will be more delicious.
If you prepare your pastries with carbonate, your pastries will be more durable, you can consume them the next day without getting stale.

Pogaca Ingredients
1 Cup (200 ml) of Yogurt
1 Cup (200 ml) of Olive Oil
Quarter Bunch of Chopped Parsley
200 gram of Curd Cheese
1 Teaspoon of Salt
2 Eggs
1 Packet of Baking Powder
4,5 Cups (900 ml) Flour
Half Teaspoon of Baking Soda
How to Make Savory Pastry Pogaca ?
Make sure that the ingredients you will use for making the pastry are at room temperature.
Pour 1 cup (200 ml) olive oil in a deep bowl.
Add 1 cup (200 ml) yogurt.
Add 1 egg yolk and 2 egg whites.
Stir the ingredients well.
Add 4,5 cups (900 ml) sifted flour.
Add 1 packet of baking powder.
Add half teaspoon of baking soda.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Knead the dough well.
Cover the pastry dough with a cling film.
Let the pastry dough rest about 15 minutes.
Mix 200 gram of curd cheese with quarter bunch of chopped parsley on a plate.
This will be our pogaca filling.
Take pieces from pogaca dough and fill them with cheese and parsley mixture.
Put a greaseproof paper on an oven tray.
Place the filled pogaca doughs on the greaseproof paper.
Spread the egg yolk on the savoury pastry doughs.
Sprinkle some black cumin seeds or sesame seeds on the doughs.
Bake the doughs at 180 degrees about 25 minutes.
Serve the pogaca cheese buns hot.
