The muhallebi recipe which is known as classic milk pudding has probably established a throne in the hearts of those who love all Turkish sweets. If you have milk, starch, flour and sugar at home and you need an urgent dessert, I would say start to make your way to the kitchen to prepare a delicious pudding without thinking. Of course, it is not possible without mentioning the most nutritious milk pudding which is called sütlaç or rice pudding, that I have loved since my childhood. The most distinctive ingredient in it is rice. If you put it in terra bowls instead of regular glass bowls and cook it in the oven until it turns brown, your rice pudding will turn into a fırın sütlaç which is called baked rice pudding and you won't get enough of it.

Why should we make Semolina Pudding?

Among the easily prepared milk desserts, the delicious milk semolina dessert is, of course, among the indispensable dessert recipe in Turkish cuisine. So why should we make a milk semolina dessert? If you want, let's look for the answer to this question together. First of all, semolina pudding is very easy to make, so it can be prepared very easily in almost any home. Secondly, since it is not as heavy as a semolina halva, it will leave a light taste in your mouth and will find a solution to your sweet crisis with its lightness. 110 grams of Semolina

1 Liter Milk

140 grams of Sugar

1 Packet of Vanilla Powder

Some Coconut Powder







How to Make Semolina Pudding?

Firstly pour one kilogram cold milk in a deep pot.

Add one hundred and ten grams of semolina into the pot.

Add one hundred and fourty grams of sugar into the pot.

Start to cook the mixture on the medium heat by stirring continuously.

After the mixture boils, cook it about ten minutes.

Add one packet of vanilla powder into the pot.

Wet a separate container with water before pouring the semolina mixture into it. Otherwise semolina pudding can stick to the container.

Pour the hot semolina pudding into this container.

Let the semolina pudding cool outside about thirty minutes.

After cooling, put semolina pudding to the fridge to get hard.

Sprinkle some coconut powder on the semolina pudding after taking the semolina pudding out of the fridge.

Slice your semolina pudding dessert as you wish.

You can serve the semolina pudding with ice cream, chocolate sauce of fresh fruits.
