Whats Halva?
Halva is a type of dessert that is highly preferred in the Middle East and Turkey. There are three different types of halva that are most commonly made. These are halva tahini, semolina halva and flour halwa. While halva tahini is mostly made by industrial producers, semolina halva and flour halva are often made at home. Basically; semolina, milk, oil and sugar are required to make semolina halvah. While preparing semolina halva, molasses can be used instead of granulated sugar. The same is true for flour halva. Using molasses instead of sugar is important to obtain a healthier halva. Semolina halva is perhaps one of the most practical solutions to sweet cravings at home. Hot homemade semolina halwa, which is roasted very quickly especially if it is prepared with butter, makes your kitchen smell delicious. You can serve slowly roasted semolina halva with cream or vanilla ice cream or walnut ice cream. Preparing flour halva, one of the easiest dessert recipes, is as easy as semolina halva. It can be considered easier to prepare from semolina halva. Although there may not be semolina in every house at that moment, there is usually flour in every house at any time. If you have an uninvited guest, it can be prepared in a very short time. Ingredients such as flour, sugar, oil and milk are basically required to prepare flour halva. Both milk, water and sugar can be used for sherbet of flour halva. The most important secret of preparing flour halva is to roast it patiently on medium heat until its consistency hardens. When the flour halva hardens, you need to shape it without wasting much time. You can also some sprinkle coconut powder or walnut powder on the flour halvah as you wish. As well as being a delicious dessert, the health benefits of halva are too many to be underestimated. Sesame, especially used in tahini helva, is a really useful food source. In order to obtain the tahini to be used from tahini halva, the sesame seeds must be peeled, fried and finally crushed. So basically, what are the health benefits of tahini halva? Tahini halva strengthens the immune system and energizes the body. It is a powerful protein source. It prevents weight gain by creating a feeling of satiety. So what are the harms of tahini halva? First of all, it is recommended not to consume excessively because of the sugar in its content.

Halva Ingredients
1 Cup of Flour (200 ml)
75 grams of Granulated Sugar
60 ml Sunflower Oil
50 grams of Butter
1 Cup of Milk (200 ml)
How to Make Halva?
Add fifty grams of butter in a deep pan.
Add sixty mililiters of sunflower oil.
Add one cup of (two hundred mililiters) wheat flour.
Roast the wheat flour about fifteen minutes until flour turns brown.
Add seventy five grams of white granulated sugar.
Keep sauting at this point.
Add one cup (two hundred mililiters) milk.
Keep sauting continuously with patience.
Halwa is ready when its consistency becomes solid.
Shape the flour halvah with an ice cream spoon.
Sprinkle some coconut powder on the flour helva pieces.
Halvah recipe is ready.
