What is Spring Roll?
Since it is easily prepared in breakfast recipes, spring rolls are the savior of many people. The most commonly used ingredients for spring rolls, which can be prepared with different fillings, are curd cheese and chopped parsley. Spring rolls can be consumed both at tea times and for breakfast and it is also in demand as a starters recipe for dinner. So what's the secret to prepare a delicious spring roll? Of course, the biggest secret to prepare delicious spring rolls is to use fresh phyllo. On the other hand, you can put your fried spring rolls on paper towels to get rid of excess oil. In order to prevent the rolls from openning, you should apply water to the ends with a brush after wrapping them in triangular phyllo dough. If deep fat cooking in a pan is a bit heavy for you, you can also cook your spring rolls in the oven on greaseproof paper. Apart from the stuffing with curd cheese and parsley, you can use different stuffings with minced meat, potatoes or different herbs. If you want to prepare spring rolls with potatoes, boil the potatoes first. Then peel the skins off the potatoes. Take your boiled potatoes in a deep bowl. Then add salt, black pepper and red pepper powder and mash the potatoes with the help of a potato masher. Put the potato stuffing you have prepared on the triangular phyllo pieces and wrap them in rolls. Of course, with the help of a brush, apply water to the ends of the phyllo rolls with the help of a brush so that the ends do not open while cooking. Then deep fry in hot sunflower oil in a deep pan. You can store the spring rolls that you have prepared in the freezer by putting them in refrigerator bags to be cooked later. Spring Roll Ingredients
3 Pieces of Fresh Phyllo Sheets
400 Grams of Curd Cheese or Crumbled Feta Cheese
Half Bunch of Finely Chopped Parsley
Sunflower Oil or Vegetable Oil
Some Water
How to Make Spring Rolls?
Mix four hundred grams of curd cheese with half bunch of finely chopped parsley in a deep bowl.
We will use three phyllo sheets to make spring rolls.
Cut each of the phyllo sheets and to get eight triangles.
Put one tablespoon of curd cheese and parsley mixture to the wider part of the phyllo triangles.
Curl two sides of the triangles within the spring roll.
Roll the phyllo sheets firmly.
Make the end of the rolls wet with a help of a kitchen brush in order not to open the rolls while frying.
Fry the spring rolls in the hot sunflower oil until spring rolls becomes golden brown.
Put the fried spring rolls on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil.
Serve the spring rolls hot.
