Fresh Fig Jam Ingredients
1 Kg Fresh Fig
2 Cups Granulated Sugar (400 ml)
Juice of 2 Lemons
How to Make Fig Preserves?
Wash one kilogram fresh fig well.
Strain the fresh figs.
Put the fresh figs into a deep pot.
Pour two cups (four hundred mililiters) of granulated sugar on the fresh figs.
Leave fresh figs in granulated sugar, in a closed pot at room temperature for one night (at least eight hours) if possible to release their water.
Start cooking when fresh figs releases their water.
Add juice of two lemons.
Cook the fresh fig jam maximum thirty minutes after it boils.
If the fig jam is not too runny, your jam is ready.
Put the fresh fig jam into the jars when it is still hot.
When the fresh fig jams cool at room temperature, put them into the refrigerator.
